Dear Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the Wyoming Association for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health page! While it has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to get the Association off the ground and there is still work to do, we are excited with the progress we have made.
The steering committee, formed in early 2009, put a lot of time and effort into the cause by laying the groundwork for the Association, including the drafting of a set of bylaws. Since then, a Board of Directors has been elected, and officers selected. The Board has been meeting monthly and is working together in hopes of co-sponsoring a conference in Laramie later this spring. In addition, the Board is working on creating a newsletter for distribution to all members.
I have been working with young children for many years and am passionate about helping them get off to a great start. I am excited to be a part of the Association and hope that together, we can provide support to each and every member out there who works to help Wyoming's young children and their families. In conclusion, I would like to thank all of you for choosing to be a part of something that is sure to help us advance our cause and voice within and across the state.
